Crochet Statement Scarf

Last night was our Crochet Statement Scarf Craft Party!  Liz & Carla had a full class!  Almost everyone who took the class had never crocheted before but by the time the class was over, they were crocheting like professionals!

BYOB & holder!  We had some great cookies made by Muse customer & friend, Dale Hitchcock and delicious cheeses and crackers!

Here are the results!  Some of the students even made two scarves!  I have already heard from three students who have already gone out to the store to buy yarn for their next project!  Thanks Liz & Carla!

Craft Party Open House

What a great time last night at the annual Craft Party Open House!  This year's donations went to Rock Creek School to bring programs to kids with special needs.  I am so happy at the wonderful turnout and generous giving that our attendees showed!
Our teachers for the evening....Stacie Spencer, Chrissy Gemmill & Courtney Prahl!  Thank you for donating your time and supplies to this event!

Yumm- Margaret always is the best host with lots of delicious snacks!

Margaret & I love this annual event.  Here we are pre party!

We were so happy to raise $900 for Rock Creek School!  The money will be put to good use and it is such a worthy cause!  As you can see, we had a lot of fun at this event too!
Chrissy brought in some mixed metal charms for metal stamping!  There were some fun jewelry charms made last night!

Courtney Prahl brought in some fabulous vintage papers to create hanging birds!  These will make great ornaments and gifts!

Stacie Spencer chose a popular craft- feather hair accessories!  As you can see, they tuned out so stylish!

The table was covered in beautiful feathers!

It was a wonderful night!  If you missed it, be sure to come next year!  And as always, check out our lineup of future craft parties!

Make & Take Craft Party Needle Felted Scarf

Sunday we created the perfect fall accessory!  Margaret Hluch showed us how to take a wool sweater & recycle it into a scarf!
Once we got the scarf shape, we learned how to use wool roving to needle felt designs and patterns into our new scarf!

So many beautiful colors of wool to choose from!  Everyone was surprised how easy this technique was!

Here are the beautiful results!  I love Jessica's idea to create a cowl from part of the sweater!

Photo Transfer Collage

This past weekend we had our Photo Transfer Collage class!  No matter how many times we do this class, I always love it!  Courtney Prahl is such a great teacher and makes the process feel easy!
She showed us how to pick good pictures for the transfer process.  And how to get a more creative collage by cropping and enlarging parts of pictures.
Next, we learned how to do the transfer.  This method is great because the supplies are inexpensive and are often already found in your home!

So many fun papers to choose from!

The finished results!
