Silkscreen Tote Make & Take

Yesterday we had our Mimosa Make & Take, Silkscreened Tote!

Margaret Hluch taught this fun & easy class!  After showing us the basic techniques we picked out and drew (or traced!) our designs...

We applied a resist so that the paint would only come through on the design that we chose.  This required some patience but the results were well worth it!

Now it was time to silkscreen!  We picked our colors and some of us picked many colors!

Here are our results!  All ready to take to the market or library!

Deconstructed Silkscreen Wine & Cheese Craft Party

Wednesday we had our Deconstructed Silkscreen Wine & Cheese Craft Party! It was a lot of fun to learn this easy method of silkscreening! Jill Stern, the artist who creates the fun painted shoes and clothing was a great teacher. She showed us many of the secrets she uses when creating her clothing!
It was fun to pick out and create the design! We got to take home the silkscreen which we can use over and over again to add a fun touch to tee shirts, tote bags and anything else paintable! I can't wait to make more!
